Scroll Control
The scroll control instruction (Figure 17) includes the SN and SL bits.
SN1, SN0: Combined with the SN2 bit described in the Contrast Control section to select the top line to be
displayed (display-start line) through the data output from the COM1 pin (Table 17). After first five lines
are displayed from the top line, the cycle is repeated and scrolling continues.
SL2–SL0: Selects the top raster-row to be displayed (display-start raster-row) in the display-start line
specified by SN2 to SN0. Any raster-row from the first to eighth can be selected (Table 18). This function
is used to perform vertical smooth scroll together with SN2 to SN0. For details, refer to the Vertical
Smooth Scroll section.
