 Digital Output Volume (DATT)
The AK4665A has a channel-independent digital attenuator (256 levels, 0.5dB step). This digital attenuator is placed
before the D/A converter. ATTL/R7-0 bits set the attenuation level (0dB to â127dB or MUTE) for each channel (DATT).
At DATTC bit = â1â, ATTL7-0 bits control both Lch and Rch attenuation levels. At DATTC bit = â0â, ATTL7-0 bits
control the Lch level and ATTR7-0 bits control the Rch level.

The ATS bit sets the transition time between set values of ATTL/R7-0 bits as either 1061/fs or 256/fs (Table 20). When
ATS bit is â0â, a soft transition between the set values occurs (1062 levels). It takes 1061/fs (24ms@fs=44.1kHz) from
âFFHâ (0dB) to â00Hâ (MUTE). When PDN pin is âLâ, ATTL/R bits are initialized to â00Hâ. The ATTL/R bits are
â00Hâ when PMDAC bit is â0â. When PMDAC bit returns to â1â, the ATTL/R bits fade to their current value.
