The Control Module provides two I/O ports which can be configured in the following way:

The Control Module firmware configures I/O ports 0 – 3 as Inputs and I/O ports 4 – 7 as Outputs by
default.
S2_Util.exe can be used the reconfigure the system as required.
Please do not exceed the values given under Electrical Characteristics in Chapter 3 of this guide. The pin
assignments for the I/O are shown in Figure 2-21.
These I/O lines are TTL compatible and are connected via a 220 Ω series resistor to the input terminals of
the 82C55A CMOS Programmable Peripheral Interface IC (Port C).
