7.1 Overview
The bq4050 device, incorporating Compensated End-of-Discharge Voltage (CEDV) technology, provides cell
balancing while charging or at rest. This fully integrated, single-chip, pack-based solution provides a rich array of
features for gas gauging, protection, and authentication for 1-series, 2-series, 3-series, and 4-series cell Li-Ion
and Li-Polymer battery packs, including a diagnostic lifetime data monitor and black box recorder.
