of a card. The CIS is stored in the attribute memory
space beginning at address 00000H. The D-Series
cards contain a separate EEPROM for the Card Infor-
mation Structure. D0âD7 are active during attribute
memory accesses. D8âD15 should be ignored. Odd or-
der bytes present invalid data. Refer to Table 2.
Word-Wide Operations
The D-Series cards provide the flexibility to operate on
data in a byte-wide or word-wide format. In word-wide
operations the CE1 and CE2 must be low and A0 is not
used for any addressing.

Notes:
1. X indicates a donât care value.
2. VPP pins are not connected in the 5.0 Volt-only Flash Memory Card.
3. Refer to Table 5 for valid DIN during a word write operation.
4. Refer to Table 3 and 4 for valid DIN during a byte write operation.
5. During odd byte access, A0 = VIH outputs or inputs the âoddâ byte (high byte) of the x16 word on D0âD7. This is accomplished
internal to the card by transposing D8âD15 to D0âD7.
6. During odd-byte-only access , A0 = X outputs or inputs the âoddâ byte (high byte) of the x16 word on D8âD15.
