These bits are used by the cross-bar switch to map any lane to
any other lane. The 3 bit term tells the mapper block what lane
this particular lane is supposed to be treated as.
000 = treat as lane0
001 = treat as lane1
010 = treat as lane2
011 = treat as lane3
100 = treat as lane4
101 = treat as lane5
110 = treat as lane6
111 = treat as lane7
