13.1 East-West output stage
In order to obtain correct tracking of the vertical and
horizontal EHT-correction, the E-W output stage should be
dimensioned as illustrated in Fig.12.
Resistor R_EW determines the gain of the E-W output stage.
Resistor R_c determines the reference current for both the
vertical sawtooth generator and the geometry processor.
The preferred value of R_c is 39 kΩ which results in a
reference current of 100 µA (V_ref = 3.9 V
The value of R_EW must be:
R_EW = R_c × _{1----8-V----×}^s---^c--V^a---ⁿ-_r--_e--_f
Example: With V_ref = 3.9 V R_c = 39 kΩ and V_scan = 120 V
then R_EW = 68 kΩ.
