9.1 Overview
The bq24171 device is a stand-alone switched-mode battery charger for Li-ion and Li-Polymer batteries with
power path management and integrated N-channel power MOSFETs. This fixed-frequency synchronous PWM
charger offers high-accuracy regulation of input current charge current and battery regulation voltage.
The bq24171 monitors the battery pack temperature and allows charge only in a JEITA profile-compatible
window with a lower charge rate at a low temperature and a lower charge voltage at a high temperature.
