SoftStop
If a SoftStop command occurs during a motion of the stepper motor, it provokes an immediate deceleration to Vmin (see
Minimum Velocity) followed by a stop, regardless of the position reached. Once the motor is stopped, TagPos register is
overwritten with value in ActPos register to ensure keeping the stop position.
Note: The dynamic ID allocation has to be assigned to • The LIN master requests a SoftStop.
‘General Purpose 2 Data bytes’ ROM pointer ‘0000’. The
command is decoded only from the command data.
• The SoftStop will correspond to the following two
data bytes LIN writing frame (type #1).
Note: A SoftStop command occurring during a
DualPosition sequence is not taken into account.
Command SoftStop occurs in the following cases:
• The chip temperature rises above the thermal shutdown
threshold (see DC Parameters and Temperature
Management);
