1. General description

The TDA8920C is a high-efï¬ciency class-D audio power ampliï¬er. The typical output

power is 2 Ã 110 W with a speaker load impedance of 4 â¦.

The TDA8920C is available in both HSOP24 and DBS23P power packages. The ampliï¬er

operates over a wide supply voltage range from Â±12.5 V to Â±32.5 V and has a low

quiescent current consumption.

2. Features

I Pin compatible with TDA8950/20B for both HSOP24 and DBS23P packages

I Symmetrical high operating supply voltage range from Â±12.5 V to Â±32.5 V

I Stereo full differential inputs, usable as stereo Single-Ended (SE) or mono Bridge-Tied

Load (BTL) ampliï¬er

I High output power at typical applications:

N SE 2 Ã 110 W, RL = 4 â¦ (VP = Â±30 V)

N SE 2 Ã 125 W, RL = 4 â¦ (VP = Â±32 V)

N SE 2 Ã 120 W, RL = 3 â¦ (VP = Â±29 V)

N BTL 1 Ã 210 W, RL = 8 â¦ (VP = Â±30 V)

I Low noise in BTL operation due to BD modulation

I Smooth pop noise-free start-up and switch off
