3.5 Program Counter Relative Addressing Mode
All jump instructions use program counter relative addressing mode. A target
address (ta) must be included in any assembly language jump instruction. The
offset is calculated as follows: offset = ta â pcn, where pcn is the location of the
next instruction and â128 < ta < 127. Figure 5 illustrates object code generated
by a jump instruction.
