Connector preparation
Contact wiring : crimp contacts
Contact wiring : solder contacts
Fixed solder contacts 0.5 mm and 0.7 mm
1 - Terminate the bucket contacts
using solder method
Connector assembly
1 - Select the proper collet ï (see page 217).
2 - Slide the protective boot ï, the backnut
ï, the collet ï and the elbow outlet ï
onto the cable.
3 - In case of a screened cable, comb out
the screen and fold back over the collet
ï.
4 - Position in the elbow outlet making sure
the anti-rotating keys are well aligned.
5 - Tighten the backnut ï till bottomed.
6 - Install the protective boot ï if exists.
1 - Select the proper crimping tool (see page
49) and position according to connectors
involved.
2 - Adjust the tool selector for the correspon
ding conductor AWG.
3 - Crimp the contacts ï then engage them
into the insert cavities ï
till clip tightening.
Removable solder contacts from 0.9 mm to 2 mm
1 - Solder the conductors to the contact buckets then
engage them into the insert cavities ï
till clip holding
1 - Position the ring ï on the insert ï
then
engage all in the spacer ï
2 - Position all the sub-assembly in the
connector housing ï with milled flats A of
the elbow outlet facing to the rear of the
plug housing.
3 - Tighten the screw ï at the torque values
defined on page 217.
