Note
Mode0.h should be created using the configuration utility 13506CFG. For more infor-
mation on 13506CFG, see the 13506CFG Configuration Program User Manual, docu-

6. Open the S1D13506 workspace.
From the Tornado tool bar, select File->Open Workspace...->Existing->Browse... and
select the file âx:\13506\8bpp\13506.wspâ (or âx:\13506\16bpp\13506.wspâ).
7. Add support for single line comments.
The UGL v1.2 display driver source code uses single line comment notation, â//â,
rather than the ANSI conventional comments, â/* . . . */â.
To add support for single line comments follow these steps:
a. In the Tornado âWorkspaceâ window, click on the âBuildsâ tab.
b. Expand the â8bpp Buildsâ (or â16bpp Buildsâ) view by clicking on
the â+â next to it. The expanded view will contain the item âdefaultâ.
Right-click on âdefaultâ and select âProperties...â. A properties win-
dow will appear.
c. Select the âC/C++ compilerâ tab to display the command switches
used in the build. Remove the â-ansiâ switch from the line that con-
tains â-g -mpentium -ansi -nostdinc -DRW_MULTI_THREADâ.
(Refer to GNU ToolKit user's guide for details)
8. Compile the VxWorks image.
Select the âFilesâ tab in the Tornado âWorkspaceâ window.
Right-click on â8bpp filesâ (or â16bpp filesâ) and select âDependencies...â. Click on
âOKâ to regenerate project file dependencies for âAll Project filesâ.
Right-click on â8bpp filesâ (or â16bpp filesâ) and select âReBuild All(vxWorks)â to
build VxWorks.
9. Copy the VxWorks file to the diskette.
From a command prompt or through the Windows interface, copy the file
âx:\13506\8bpp\default\vxWorksâ (or âx:\13506\16bpp\default\vxWorksâ) to the
bootable disk created in step 4.
10. Start the VxWorks demo.
Boot the target PC with the VxWorks bootable diskette to run the UGLDEMO auto-
matically.
