PIC18F6393/6493/8393/8493 devices only.
PIC18F6393/6493/8393/8493 devices include several
features intended to maximize reliability and minimize
cost through elimination of external components.
These include:
• Device ID Registers
3.1 Device ID Registers
The Device ID registers are “read-only” registers.
They identify the device type and revision to device
programmers and can be read by firmware using table
reads.
