1.2 Leiterplatte (PCB)
1.2 Printed circuit board (PCB)
x Als Material für das PCB kann standard FR4
verwendet werden.
x Die Dicke der Kupferschicht sollte nach IEC
326-3 gewählt werden.
x Um einen dauerhaft guten Kontakt zu
gewährleisten, müssen die Kontaktpads auf
der Leiterplatte (PCB) frei von
durchgehenden Löchern sein.
x Die Kontaktpads für die MiniSKiiP
Kontaktfedern müssen mit Zinn oder Zinnblei
Legierung beschichtet sein. „Hot air levelling“
ist ein geeigneter Prozess für eine
entsprechende Oberfläche dieser Pads. Die
Kontaktflächen dürfen während der
Wellenlötung nicht mit Lot überzogen
werden.
x Um eine dauerhafte Funktionalität zu
gewährleisten, müssen die Kontaktpads frei
von Verunreinigungen sein. Ggf. müssten die
Pads während des Schwalllötens abgedeckt,
oder die PCB nach dem Löten gewaschen
werden, damit die Kontaktpads auf der
Leiterplatte, keine unzulässigen Rückstände
aufweisen.

x The landing pads must be free from plated-
through holes, to prevent any deterioration
on a proper contact.
x The landing pads for the contact springs of
the MiniSKiiP must be covered with tin or tin-
lead alloy. ”Hot air levelling” is an appropriate
process for a suitable surface of these
contact pads. The pads must not be covered
with solder during a wave solder process.
x During soldering processes the contact pads
should be covered or the PCB must be
washed after soldering, because the surface
of the contact pads must be free of any
residues, to ensure long-term functionality.
1.3 MiniSKiiP Module
1.3 MiniSKiiP Modules
Kontaktfedern:
x Minimale Höhe der Federn ist 0.3 mm über
der Oberfläche.
x Um eine einwandfreie Funktionalität zu
gewährleisten, sollten die Federkontakte
nicht durch Öl, Schweiß oder andere
Substanzen verunreinigt werden. Es wird
deshalb empfohlen bei der Handhabung der
MiniSKiiP Module Handschuhe zu tragen.
Montagefläche des Moduls:
x Die Montagefläche der MiniSKiiP Module
muss sauber und frei von Partikeln und Fett
sein.
x Infolge des Fertigungsprozesses, können auf
der Unterseite des MiniSKiiP Moduls Kratzer,
Löcher oder ähnliche Marken entstehen.
Folgende Abbildungen (Abb. 2-4) zeigen
Oberflächencharakteristiken, die keinerlei
Auswirkungen auf die thermischen
Eigenschaften haben.
x Nachgearbeitete MiniSKiiP Bodenober-
flächen (Abb. 5) müssen die Spezifikationen
nach Abb. 2-4 erfüllen.
Spring contacts:
x Minimum height of springs is 0.3 mm above
the surface.
x For proper functionality oil, sweat or other
substances must not contaminate the spring
contacts. For this reason it is recommended
to wear gloves during the handling of the
MiniSKiiP modules.
Mounting surface:
x The Mounting surface of MiniSKiiP module
must be free from grease and particles.
x Due to the manufacturing process, the
bottom side of the MiniSKiiP might show
scratches, holes or similar marks. The
following figures (Fig. 2-4) define surface
characteristics, which do not affect the
thermal conduction behaviour.
x Reworked MiniSKiiP bottom surfaces (Fig.5)
must be within the specification as
mentioned in Fig.2 – Fig.4
