SPC56XL60/54
A FlexPWM module implements the following features:
â 16 bits of resolution for center, edge aligned, and asymmetrical PWMs
â Maximum operating frequency as high as 120 MHz
â Clock source not modulated and independent from system clock (generated via
secondary FMPLL)
â Fine granularity control for enhanced resolution of the PWM period
â PWM outputs can operate as complementary pairs or independent channels
â Ability to accept signed numbers for PWM generation
â Independent control of both edges of each PWM output
â Synchronization to external hardware or other PWM supported
â Double buffered PWM registers
â Integral reload rates from 1 to 16
â Half cycle reload capability
â Multiple ADC trigger events can be generated per PWM cycle via hardware
â Fault inputs can be assigned to control multiple PWM outputs
â Programmable filters for fault inputs
â Independently programmable PWM output polarity
â Independent top and bottom deadtime insertion
â Each complementary pair can operate with its own PWM frequency and deadtime
values
â Individual software control for each PWM output
â All outputs can be forced to a value simultaneously
â PWMX pin can optionally output a third signal from each channel
â Channels not used for PWM generation can be used for buffered output compare
functions
â Channels not used for PWM generation can be used for input capture functions
â Enhanced dual edge capture functionality
â Option to supply the source for each complementary PWM signal pair from any of the
following:
â External digital pin
â Internal timer channel
â External ADC input, taking into account values set in ADC high- and low-limit
registers
â DMA support
