iC-HGP is protected by an integrated thermal shutdown
feature. When the shutdown temperature is reached
all channels are disabled. Falling temperature after this
shutdown will unconditionally enable all channels again.
Necessary precaution to prevent damage of the laser
may be to also disable any external control circuits for
the laser output power or current control during thermal
shutdown. The error signal at pin NER can be used to
e.g. disable the control circuit.
