3.0 Functional Description
3.1
Overview
The M02097 device is a highly integrated combined LED driver and limiting amplifier intended for applications to
500 Mbps. The part can be operated from a single 3.3V or 5V supply.
Many features are user-adjustable, including the pre-bias current, modulation current, temperature compensation
control of modulation current, loss of signal threshold, using jam or not on the Rx path and the Rx and Tx polarity.
Safety circuitry is also included to provide a latched shut-down of LED bias and modulation current if a fault
condition occurs. An internal V_CC switch provides redundant shutdown of the LED current under a fault condition.
