Products are then marked with a âtraceability codeâ which is used by the manufacturer and
the user to identify the function of the device (and its date of fabrication). At the end of the as-
sembly process, the integrated circuit is tested by automated test equipment. Only the inte-
grated circuits that passed the tests will be packed and shipped to their final destination.
