Bias Sequence and Gain Control
Optimum performance is achieved using sequential bias. At maximum gain (VC1, VC3), and VC2 are set at -4V and VG2 is set at
-0.4V. (VC1, VC3), VC2 and VG2 are biased in sequence. The first dynamic range is achieved by setting (VC2 at -4V and VG2 at
-0.4V) and varying (VC1, VC3) over the (-4 to -1V) range as shown in the table below. Similarly, the second dynamic range is
achieved by setting (VC1, VC3) at -1V, VG2 at -0.4V and varying VC2 over the (-4 to -0.3V) range. Finally, the third dynamic range
is achieved by setting (VC1, VC3) at -1V, VC2 at -0.3V and varying VG2 over the (-0.4 to -1V) range.
