Recommended Implementation 1
Configuring the ADT7473, as in Figure 49 provides the
system designer with the following features:
• Two PWM outputs for fan control of up to three fans.
(The front and rear chassis fans are connected in
parallel.)
• Three TACH fan speed measurement inputs.
• V_CC measured internally through Pin 4.
• CPU core voltage measurement (V_CORE).
• VRM temperature using local temperature sensor.
• CPU temperature measured using the Remote 1
temperature channel.
• Ambient temperature measured through the Remote 2
temperature channel.
• Bidirectional THERM pin allows the monitoring of
PROCHOT output from an Intel Pentium 4 processor,
for example, or can be used as an overtemperature
THERM output.
• SMBALERT system interrupt output.
