For proper operation, the power supply should be decoupled by a 22nF ~ 100nF capacitor.
In order to protect the device against over voltages spikes on the V_DD line, a zener diode with V_Z < 5V should
be connected between V_DD and ground, thus limiting the spikes below the absolute maximum rating.
