System 8000 Fiber-Optic Interfacility Links
Remote RF Signal Monitor Interfacility Link Specifications
These links bring the uplink RF test ports located at the antenna site back to the equipment room or control room.
This permits the operator to monitor the composite transmitted RF signals conveniently, quickly, and reliably with-
out having to go to the antenna site or invest in a spectrum analyzer for every antenna site. In applications where
the system 8000 is being used for the main signal paths, these links can be included as plug-ins in the main chas-
sis. Or, the uplink RF monitor links can be added to an existing earth station with all the output ports in one chassis
in the control room.
