RFOUT, RF Output Impedance
The RF transmitter output pin is RFOUT. This is an open
drain output. It requires a DC signal path to RFPWR, which is
the output of the internal power supply to the transmitter.
The transmitter output requires a tuned resonant circuit
externally to form the desired waveform. This resonant
circuit should be resonant at the desired output frequency.
The transmitter output also requires filtering to reduce the
harmonics to acceptable levels. The following circuit is a
suggestion for matching the output to 50Ω at 433.92MHz.
The circuit includes a tuned parallel LC tank at the
433.92MHz (including internal capacitance) and an LC notch
filter at the third harmonic.
