DESCRIPTION
FEATURES
The AMC2596 series are highly integrated step down „ 150 KHz fixed frequency internal oscillator
voltage regulator capable of driving a 3A load with _{„ Guaranteed 3A output load current}
extremely regulated output voltages over line & load _{„ Input voltage range up to 40V}
regulation. These devices are available in fixed output _{„ 3.3V, 5V and adjustable output versions}
voltages of 3.3V. 5V and an adjustable output versions.
These regulators require a minimum number of external ^{„ Adjustable version output voltage range, 1.2V}
components and are simpler to use by an internal frequency
to 37V
compensation and a fixed – frequency oscillator.
„ ±4% max over line and load conditions
By operating a switching frequency of 150KHz, the ^{„ Requires only 4 external components}
AMC2596 series require smaller sized filter components. „ Excellent line and load regulation specifications
This feature makes the application design more cost effective _{„ Available in TO-220 and TO-263 packages}
than lower frequency switch regulators. A standard 5-lead _{„ TTL shutdown capability}
TO-220 package with several different lead bend options,
and a 5-lead TO-263 surface mount package is available
„ Low power standby mode, I_Q typically 80 µA
The AMC2596 series feature a guaranteed ±4% ^{„ High efficiency}
tolerance of output voltage over input to output load ^{„ Thermal shutdown and current limit protection}
conditions.
