Triple-Output Charge Pump Regulator
PCB footprint, and is non-polarized. Low ESR
ceramic capacitors help maximize charge pump
transient response. Since ceramic capacitors are
non-polarized, they are not prone to incorrect con-
nection damage.
Rectifier Diodes
For the rectifiers, use Schottky diodes with a volt-
age rating of 1.5X the input voltage. The maximum
steady-state voltage seen by the rectifier diodes for
both the positive and negative charge pumps
(regardless of the number of stages) is:
VRESERVE = VIN - VF
The BAT54SDW quad Schottky in an SOT363
(2x2mm) package is a good choice for multiple-
stage charge pump configuration (see evaluation
board schematic in Figure 3).
