Overview
The purpose of this notification is to communicate key revisions to DS617, Platform Flash XL High-Density Configuration
and Storage Device, v3.0, data sheet. The Platform Flash XL family includes the XCF128X device. There is no change to
the form or fit of this device. There are no reductions to characterized functions of this device.
Description
DS617, Platform Flash XL High-Density Configuration and Storage Device, data sheet has been revised to v3.0. The
Revision History section of the DS617 data sheet contains a detailed list of revisions. Important revisions are highlighted
below:
 Added notice of support for applicable Virtex^-6 FPGAs.
 Removed empty AC Characteristic placeholders and references to VDDQ operation in the 1.7V to 2.0V range.
Since none of the functions for VDDQ in the 1.7V to 2.0V range were ever characterized, the empty placeholders
and references to VDDQ operation in the 1.7V to 2.0V range are removed.
 Improved synchronous read timing AC characteristic T_KHQV (Clock High to Output Valid, Max) from 17 ns to 16 ns
based on re-analysis of characterization and test data that showed sufficient margin for an improved specification.

This notice applies to the Platform Flash XL device named in the DS617 data sheet. Affected part numbers are included in
Table 1.
