The pin 5 (MUTE/STAND-BY) controls the amplifier status by two different thresholds, referred to +V_CC.

Stand-by Mode
+V_CC -2.5V>V_PIN5>+V_CC -6V
Mute Mode
V_PIN5≤+V_CC -6V
Play Mode
