Due to the high voltage, which can appear between the terminations and any adjacent metal part, res istors s hould be mounted at
an adequate distance from other conductors.
F or s ome ultra-high voltage applications it is required to immers e the components in oil or SF 6 gas or pot them in void-free s ilicone
compound to reduce corona or s urface tracking. T he printed protection is s uitable for thes e applications.
T he divider consis ts of high value R 1 and low value R 2. The voltage division ratio of the divider is given by R atio = R 2 / (R 1 + R 2).
Ordering Procedure
E xample: P HVD15 for a voltage ratio of 1:1000, with R 1 = 99.9 megohms and R 2 = 100 kilohms (total R 1 + R 2 = 100 megohms)
at 25ppm/°C tracking TCR and 0.5% ratio tolerance
