Connect to ground as necessary to prevent IC malfunction due to noise.
Connect GND to signal ground on the application circuit.
Utmost care is required in the design of the output, VCC, and GND lines since the IC may shatter or explode due to short-circuits between outputs, short to VCC or short to ground.
The IC may also shatter or explode when it is installed in a wrong orientation.
