4. Poll ADBSY until it is cleared by the hardware. This indicates the completion of the conversion.
5. Obtain the results from the result registers.
The port pins used for the multiplexor output must be configured as high impedance inputs. If the port pins
are configured as outputs, or as inputs with weak pull-up, there will be a conflict between the analog signal
output and the digitally driven output.

5.14.1.1.3 Mode Select
This 1-bit field is used to select the mode of operation (single ended or differential) as shown in the
following Table 5-21.

5.14.1.1.4 Prescaler Select
This 1-bit field is used to select one of two prescaler clocks for the A/D Converter. The following Table 5-
22 shows the various prescaler options. Care must be taken, when selecting this bit, to keep the A/D clock
frequency within the specified range.
