3.5.1 RF Power Amplifier
The RF Power Amplifier amplifies the modulated output signal from the QMOD and drives the external
antenna circuits. The LC resonator load, matching circuit, and an antenna are required externally to
complete the transmitter circuits. RFpower at 0xF1: RFpower is used to turn the power supply (VDD) on/off
for the RF PA block. The output power can be set by register RFPAbias<7:0> at 0xF2: RFbias.
PrePAbias<1:0> at 0xF1: RFpower controls the bias current of Pre-Amp for the 434 MHz and 315 MHz
operation.
The RF output power can be adjusted in the OTP version while debugging. However, once the output
power is fixed on the Mask ROM version, the output power is adjusted while in the TI final test. For more
information about the output power adjustment, refer to the HW Application Note.
