The V3 series IRD from Thor is a
universal broadcast decoder & stream
processor that can simultaniusly
accept multi-program streams from 3
input types. The unit can decrypt the
Streams from any input through a dual CAM/CAS
Conditonal access card bay system. The card bays accept
Any standard PCMCIA form factor decryption card or CableCard.
The RF tuner can be ordered for either DVB-S2, QAM, or ATSC demodulation.
The V3 platform is designed to process up to 32 program stream inputs and remux them in any
combination to either IP or ASI outputs. This ability makes the IRD-V3 very useful for program
agrigation and MPTS mapping of channel lines prior to modulation. In addition to program stream
processing, the system also provides broadcast quality decoding with outputs for all major video
standards, including HD-SDI. An internal web server provides easy access and monitoring from a web
browser. A front panel keypad and LCD provide access to all functions and settings without needing a
computer, and a front facing video monitor provides easy confidence monitoring of the decoded
program stream.
