The F­M8SDI fiber link provides 8 full rate
HD­SDI signals, return path RS­485, and
two optional auxiliary ports that can be
custom ordered to support analog audio,
RS­232/422, or contact closure circuits.
All transported over a single fiber strand.
The standard unit without options provides one directional RS­485 data from the receiver unit
to the transmitter. This can be used for control applications such as PTZ controllers or video
switches. This also allows a return path that provides a link alarm indicator on both units that
indicates when an optical link is not present. Each aux option must be ordered at the time of
purchase, and the units cannot be converted from one option to the other. Consult a sales
