Single fiber transport for SDI video, audio, serial data, & contact closure
The F­M2SDI kit includes a transmitter and a
receiver unit. The transmitter provides two
inputs for serial digital video on BNC
terminals. The platform will support any SDI
or ASI signal up to a 1.5 Gbps data rate.
The Aux port provides optional support for 4
channel audio, RS­232, or contact closure.
The standard unit without options provides one directional RS­485 data from the receiver unit
to the transmitter. This can be used for control applications such as PTZ controllers or video
switches. This also allows a return path that provides a link alarm indicator on both units that
indicates when an optical link is not present. Each aux option must be ordered at the time of
purchase, and the units cannot be converted from one option to the other. Consult a sales
