The resonant choke
The inductance of the choke is 2.4 mH with a
minimum saturation current of 0.65 A. In the prac-
tical example it has been done with:
Core: Thomson LCC E2006 material B4;
Air gap: 2 spacers of 0.4 mm each (total 0.8 mm);
AL = 75 nH;
Bobbin: HC2006BA-06;
Number of turns: 175;
Measured saturation current: 1 A peak @ 25 °C;
Customization of the board
Some flexibility is added to the board to extend its
evaluation. The MOSFETs have two foot prints to
mount either I-PAK or TO220 packages. And two
choke footprints are also avalaible for E1905A
and E2006A magnetic cores.
