N S The FM25L256 is a 256-kilobit nonvolatile memory
employing an advanced ferroelectric process. A
E N ferroelectric random access memory or FRAM is
nonvolatile and performs reads and writes like a
M IG RAM. It provides reliable data retention for 10 years
while eliminating the complexities, overhead, and
B system level reliability problems caused by
M S 6 EEPROM and other nonvolatile memories.
O E 25 Unlike serial EEPROMs, the FM25L256 performs
C D L write operations at bus speed. No write delays are
5 incurred. Data is written to the memory array
2 immediately after each byte has been transferred to
E M the device. The next bus cycle may commence
W F without the need for data polling. In addition, the
