3. Registers and Operation
The mouse sensor can be programmed through registers, via the serial port, and DSP configuration and
motion data can be read from these registers. All registers not listed are reserved, and should never be written
by firmware.

Reserved [3:0]
The value in this register can’t change. PID[3:0] can be used to verify that the serial
communications link is OK. Reserved[3:0] is a value between 0x0 and 0xF, it can’t be used to verify
that the serial communication.
