Abstract
The SSL8516T is a member of the new generation of combined Power
Factor Correction (PFC) and flyback controller ICs, used for efficient
Switched-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS).
The PFC enables low Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) performance over a
wide input voltage and output power range.
The SSL8516T has a high level of integration allowing cost-effective
design of power supplies using a minimal number of external components.
The SSL8516T is designed in a Silicon-On-Insulator (SOI) process,
enabling it to operate at a wide voltage range.
