FEATURES
DESCRIPTION
l Duplex LC Single Mode Transceiver
The TRSL-9340G series single mode transceivers is small
l SONET OC-48 IR-2 / SDH STM-16 (S-16.2) Compliant form factor, low power, high performance module for
l Fiber Channel 2X/1X SM-LC-L FC-PI Compliant
bi-directional serial optical data communications such as
l IEEE 802.3z Gigabit Ethernet Compliant
SONET OC-48 IR-2 / SDH STM-16 (S-16.2), Gigabit
l Small Form Factor, RJ-45 size, 2X5 pin Package
Ethernet and 1X/2X Fiber channel. This module is designed
l 1550 nm DFB LD Transmitter
for single mode fiber and operates at a nominal wavelength
l 18 dB Link Budget at Least
of 1550 nm. A guaranteed minimum optical link budget of
l Link Distance up to 40 km
18 dB is offered which can correspond to a link distance of
l AC/AC Coupled Signal Input / Output
over 40 km (assuming worst case fiber loss of 0.3 dB/km).
l LVTTL Transmitter Disable Input
The transmitter section uses a multiple quantum well
l LVTTL Signal Detection Output
1550 nm DFB laser and is a class 1 laser compliant
l Single +3.3 V Power Supply
according to International Safety Standard IEC-60825. The
l RoHS Compliant
receiver section uses an integrated InGaAs detector
l 0 to 70^oC Operating: TRSL-9340G
preamplifier (IDP) mounted in an optical header and a
l -20 to 85^oC Operating: TRSL-9340AG
limiting post-amplifier IC. A PECL logic interface
l Wave Solderable and Aqueous Washable
simplifies interface to external circuitry.
l Class 1 Laser International Safety Standard IEC-60825

complies with IEC-60825 and FDA 21 CFR 1040.10 and
1040.11. The transceiver must be operated within the
specified temperature and voltage limits. The optical ports
of the module shall be terminated with an optical connector
or with a dust plug.
