FEATURES
DESCRIPTION
l Bi-Directional Single-Fiber Transceiver
The BTRS-7820CG series is high performance module for
l Compliant with IEEE 802.3ah 1000BASE-BX
single fiber communications by using 1310 nm transmitter
l 1310 nm LD Transmitter
and 1490 nm receiver. This module is equipped with
l 1490 nm Receiver
3W-TRX^TM OE device to reject 1.55 um high power
l 1550 nm Enhanced Band Block
video signal. The transmitter section uses a multiple
l 14 dB Power Budget At Least
quantum well laser and is a class 1 laser compliant
l Link distance up to 20 km
according to International Safety Standard IEC-60825. The
l Single +3.3 V Power Supply
l RoHS Compliant
receiver section is designed to receive 1490 nm and block
1550 nm signal. This feature is suitable for IEEE 802.3ah
l 0 to 70^oC Operating: BTRS-7820CG
1000BASE-BX and ITU-T 983.3 application. The receiver
l -20 to 85^oC Operating: BTRS-7820ACG
section uses an integrated 1490 nm detector preamplifier
l LVPECL Differential Inputs and Outputs
(IDP) mounted in an optical header and a limiting
l LVTTL Signal Detect Output
post-amplifier IC. A PECL logic interface simplifies
l Wave Solderable and Aqueous Washable
interface to external circuitry.
l Class 1 Laser International Safety Standard IEC-60825

This single mode transceiver is a Class 1 laser product. It
complies with IEC-60825 and FDA 21 CFR 1040.10 and
1040.11. The transceiver must be operated within the
specified temperature and voltage limits. The optical ports of
the module shall be terminated with an optical connector or
with a dust plug.
