2-in-1 PFC and Inverter Intelligent
Power Module (IPM), 600 V, 5 A
The STK5DFU340D-E is a fully-integrated PFC and inverter power stage
consisting of a high-voltage driver, six motor drive IGBT’s, one PFC
IGBT, one PFC rectifier and a thermistor, suitable for driving permanent
magnet synchronous (PMSM) motors, brushless-DC (BLDC) motors and
AC asynchronous motors. The IGBT’s are configured in a 3-phase bridge
with an integrated single shunt which is connected to an internal over-
current protection comparator. A second comparator is used for detecting
faults in the combined PFC and inverter circuit.
The intelligent power module has a full range of protection functions
including cross-conduction protection, external shutdown and under-
voltage lockout functions.
