Low Voltage Synchronous
Buck Controller
The CS5212 is a low voltage synchronous buck controller. It
contains all required circuitry for a synchronous buck converter using
external N−Channel MOSFETs. High current internal gate drivers are
capable of driving high gate capacitance of low RDS(on) NFETs for
better efficiency. The V2t control architecture is used to achieve
unmatched transient response, the best overall regulation and the
simplest loop compensation.
Additionally, the CS5212 provides overcurrent protection,
undervoltage lockout, soft−start, built−in adaptive non−overlap, and
an adjustable fixed frequency range of 150 kHz to 750 kHz, which
gives the designer more flexibility to make efficiency and component
size trade offs. The CS5212 will also operate over a 3.1 V to 7.0 V
range using either single or dual input voltage.
