FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS
Transmit Faxes Over the Digital Wireless Network With Molex’s FaxEnable Units
FaxEnable is an intelligent module that provides the
interface between a standard fax machine and a digital
mobile phone. FaxEnable technology utilizes error
correction and retransmission to guarantee reliable
delivery of the complete fax. Each FaxEnable unit can
be operated while the vehicle is in motion. The units
connect using standard off-the-shelf office equipment
and can archive up to 14 pages. Molex offers three
versions to meet a variety of needs:
The FaxEnable SRI (Send/Receive with Inverter) unit
includes a built-in 12V-to-120V inverter to power a
typical non-laser fax machine. It can be powered via a
standard cigarette-lighter adapter.
The FaxEnable SRP (Send/Receive Portable) unit is a
portable version of the SRI module, contained in a
water resistant case.
The FaxEnable Hub unit is capable of handling up to
four simultaneous land-line connections to mobile units.
The hub is normally located at the customer data center
and acts as the decoder for the mobile units. FaxEnable
Hub is not compatible with EMS-Enable™ products.
FaxEnable is part of the TelEnable™ product offering.
