DESCRIPTION
The SMN3110 noise modules are ideal
for applications for systems that only
have low DC bias voltages available.
Traditionally, noise sources require
high DC supplies such as +15 or even
+28V. In addition, the SMN3110 fea -
tures a built-in regulator to handle
changes in the bias supply voltage
without having an effect on the noise
amplitude output.
SUITABLE FOR HIGH VOLUME
PRODUCTS:
The SMN3110 noise source being sur -
face mount, having a small footprint
and available on tape and reel make
them ideal for production manufactur-
ing. Traditionally packaged microwave
noise sources have been large and
costly rendering them unsuitable for all
but large expensive systems. The
benefits of having built-in test and cali -
bration can now be brought to mass
produced products so they too can
realize the benefits of an onboard
noise source.
