4 - #10 AN Washer
This Backing Plate Kit is for use with MSD Electronic Points Box PN 8105 or PN 8106 only.
It is intended for use with thin sheet metal (dash panels). It is NOT for rigid mounting applications.
1. Remove the original backing plate by drilling and/or punching out the four rivets.
2. Position the coil clearance pocket of the backing plate over the coil assembly. Secure the plate
using the supplied rivets and backing washers (Figure 1).
3. Attach one end of the grounding wire to the terminal on the backing plate and the other end to the
motor plate using the supplied ring lug.

The Dzus button holes should be 7/16" in diameter, 8 7/8" center to center.
