1. INTRODUCTION
Fixture Board Assembly 1424685--1 is a pc board

tooling and is used to assist in applying PC/104 and
PC/104--Plus connectors to a pc board.
NOTE
i
Figures are not drawn to scale.
Reasons for reissue of this instruction sheet are
provided in Section 5, REVISION SUMMARY.
2. DESCRIPTION
The fixture board assembly consists of a fixture
board, an insert plate, and guide posts. The insert
plate, surface under the insert plate, and raised
surface contain holes that accept the connector
contact posts during seating. Refer to Figure 1.
The insert plate must be removed when terminating
connectors using organizers.
3. OPERATION
1. If terminating connectors with organizers, loosen
the set screws securing the insert plate, and
remove the insert plate; then place the organizer
on the fixture board (in place of the insert plate).
See Figure 1.
2. Locate the fixture board assembly onto the
termination tooling and secure it using the board
securing screws included with the press.
3. Place the pc board on the fixture board
assembly, locating it using the two guide posts.
4. Place the connectors on the pc board as shown
in Figure 2.
5. Align the first connector to be applied (on the
fixture board assembly) with the ram of the
termination tooling.
6. Manually lower the ram to seat the connector
onto the pc board. Do the same to seat the next
connector.
7. Carefully lift the pc board straight off of the
fixture board.
NOTE
i
Organizers are supplied with the connector; and
are available separately.
CAUTION
!
To avoid bending the contact posts, make sure to
carefully lift the pc board straight off of the fixture
board.
