Mindspeed Technologies/Conexant Systems Inc. is committed to providing its valued customers with
quality products. The CN8330 is one of the old lines of T3/E3 Framers manufactured through LSI. The
recent unprecedented industry-wide economic downturn has prompted LSI to examine their pending
process migration plans and has required them to accelerate End of Life on their older process lines.
This impacts their 60XK technology. LSI intends to cease manufacturing of these products in Q3, 2002.
This unprecedented notice from LSI with very short window in delivering our total product requirements
has forced Mindspeed/Conexant to end of life the CN8330EPJD/EPFD (Mindspeed/Conexant internal #
28330-13 or 28330-14) product. This device is therefore being discontinued.
For new designs, we recommend the CX2834x multi-port DS3/E3 Framers (Conexant internal #
CX2834x-11). Refer to the Data Sheet for full details of the CX2834x multi-port DS3/E3 Framer.
Mindspeed/Conexant intends to honor the standard warranty obligation for this product, which are
ordered and delivered in accordance with the following dates:
March 25, 2002
Please assess your product needs and place a Last Time Buy order no later than March 25, 2002. All
new orders for the CN8330EPJD/EPFD (28330-13 or 28330-14) will be non-cancelable and non-
returnable.
February 28, 2002
This is the last day for distributors to return inventory. New inventory purchased on or after this date
cannot be returned. New orders are non-cancelable and non-returnable.
March 25, 2002
Last order date. Factory orders will not be accepted after this date.
September 30, 2002
Final ship date. All orders will be scheduled for delivery prior to this date.
