High speed Differential Transmission
FI-M Series
CONNECTOR

May 2007
RoHS Compliant
FI-M series is a board to cable LCD interface connector (mother board side)
compatible to high speed differential transmission.
Features
„Due to the adoption of wireless antennas and CCD camera cables on the notebook
PC’s LCD side, the 56 contact type has been developed to transmit the USB and
other control signals together in addition to the conventional LVDS.
„Hold downs are equipped on the board side receptacle to reinforce soldering on the
board and ground. The hold down and metal shell is integrated, so conduction to
ground of the board surface is possible by mating with the cable side plug.
„A pull bar is adopted to improve removing work in the restricted mounting space and
to prevent unmating caused by vibration and shock. Locking with the receptacle side
is possible by lying the pull bar.
„For cable side plug, only soldering connection with fine coaxial wire is available.
The applicable cables are AWG #32 to #40 fine coaxial wire and AWG #32 discrete
wire connection.
„To prevent the flux from rising to the contact, a space is taken between the contact
and terminal portion and also a groove is carved on the bottom of the contact to
impound the flux.
„3mm mating height
„Pb-free product
