Envelope Detector Output
The HMC1021LP4E’s ETOUT output provides a linearly scaled replica of the instantaneous envelope of the mod-
ulated RF signal for modulation bandwidths up to 150 MHz. For optimum performance, the ETOUT pin of the
HMC1021LP4E should be terminated with a 560 Ω load resistor to GND. Note that any capacitive loading on the
ETOUT pin would reduce the modulation bandwidth of the envelope detection. The envelope output has a conversion
gain of 11.5V/V with an output voltage ranging from 1.2V to 2.2V.
